Illustrators conceptualize, paint and draw new images used in a variety of materials and publications. Specialized illustrators may possess expertise in areas such as technical, medical, architectural, scientific and cartoon illustrations. Requires artistic talent and knowledge of design programs such as Illustrator or Freehand and Photoshop; fine arts education preferred.
